My name is Alishia Faber, and I am the founder of Sharpened Voices, a tutoring and academic coaching service built on the belief that every learner deserves structure, clarity, and support tailored to how they think and grow.
I am completing my A.S. in English, Communications, and Professional Writing at Springfield Technical Community College, where I maintain a strong academic record and support students as a Peer Writing Tutor and Supplemental Instruction Leader. These roles have shaped my understanding of how students learn—through real challenges, real questions, and real progress.
I have supported learners from Pre-K through college, including students with ADHD, Dyslexia, ASD, and executive-function challenges. As a neurodivergent learner and the parent of a neurodivergent child, I know how important it is for students to feel seen, supported, and understood.
My approach focuses on:
Clear communication & patience
Supportive, direct feedback
Strong organization & structured skill-building
Neurodiversity-affirming strategies
Flexible, adaptive instruction
Strength-based learning that builds confidence
I started Sharpened Voices because students deserve more than generic instruction — they deserve a space where they can grow with confidence and develop independence as thinkers and writers. Whether I’m supporting early readers, guiding teens through writing clarity, or helping college students tackle complex assignments, my goal is simple:
To help every learner build confidence, develop their voice, and grow in ways that last.

At Sharpened Voices, we believe every learner deserves to be seen, heard, and understood. No two students learn the same way, so we begin by understanding each student’s personality, strengths, challenges, and learning style before teaching anything. We center patience, clarity, and encouragement in every session. Our goal isn’t just to h

Our goal isn’t just to help students get through assignments — it’s to provide neurodiversity-affirming support that builds confidence, independence, and pride. When students feel safe and supported, their skills grow naturally and their voices sharpen.
